If nothing else, I’m learning to paint palm trees.

Sketch
I’m using the seascape and landscape photos from the photo album I found at Goodwill as source material for a series of quick paint sketches. (Quick for me, that is. I’m trying to spend no more than 15 minutes on each one.)
This one was done with Faber-Castell Gelatos and Arteza gouache. I’ve not worked with Gelatos before, but I enjoyed using them with gouache. 11/10 would do again.

Arteza gouache on 140 lb Strathmore 400 Series cold press watercolor paper

I gave in and bought some Arteza gouache paints to play with. I had fun with them, so it was money well spent.

Gluebook Volume 9
I finished this gluebook yesterday. It’s another remixed portrait book, this time with (mostly) fashion models. The images came from various fashion and teen magazines (Vogue, Seventeen, W, etc.). The longer I worked on it, the more I thought about how we all more alike than different.
And a quick and sloppy flip through video.
