Rain all around us, but it’s dry here. We’ve been upgraded to “exceptional drought” status. That’s as bad as the scale goes.
It did actually get up to 104F today. The humidity is low, but I’m not sure that helps much. It’s just godawful HOT out there.
And not a drop of rain in sight.
This fellow was outside the library, along Jordan Ave.
And yes, the grass is BROWN and CRISPY and STAYS CRUNCHY IN MILK. I don’t think it’s ever going to rain again.
Everything is an intense, deep green.
It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
We’re under a severe thunderstorm watch, but it’s hard to believe that it will amount to anything when the sky is so beautiful and blue.
Today was all about happy little clouds.
