Day 6284759101 With No Sun

I’m starting to wonder if we’ll ever see the sun again.

Foggy

Foggy

The high yesterday was 56F. It was hella windy and stormy last night, and then the temperature dropped to 30F. Today it went back up to 61F and was alternately foggy and rainy.

Holy migraine, Bateman! My head is about to explode.

Snow

That was adorable. Can we have spring, now?

Foggy

Foggy

Most of the snow melted with the rain, and with the rising temperature, the fog has settled in. It’s supposed to get down to 3F tomorrow night, so this won’t last.

Window Frost

Abstract

They told us, when they renovated our floor, that we were getting new HVAC and that we would no longer have problems with condensation on the windows.

It could be worse, though. This was the winter of 2009.

Decisions, Decisions

All Photos-3588

I work for a state institution, so we get paid time pff for all the usual federal holidays. However, where I work, we have the option of working on some holidays and banking the holiday hours for later use. MLK day is one of those holidays.

On the one hand, I worked all weekend, so having a day off would be nice. On the other, saving that time for future snow days would be prudent. On the other-other, it’s supposed to be asthma-inducing cold tomorrow at 6am, which is when I leave for work.

Morning Belt of Venus

Belt of Venus and New Ductwork

It was about 5F at 5:30 this morning, when I left for work. There wasn’t much frost on my car windows, but what there was was stuck on with super glue. It took me almost 20 minutes to get everything scraped. And then, even though I’d started the car and had the heater cranked all the way up, there was still frost on the inside of my windshield.

Ick.

And then the sun came up and everything was forgiven. What a gorgeous sky!
