Comet Storm
Walking to work, I passed a patch of sidewalk covered in stains from fallen walnuts. They looked like little comets, so I took a photo then inverted the image to make a digital negative. Et voila, a comet storm. The lines in the pavement even mimic the horizontal lines across early satellite images of Earth.

Skeletonized Leaves
You can buy pretty, dyed skeletonized leaves at any craft store, but this year the weather conditions have been perfect for creating them naturally. There are giant drifts of them below several trees I pass on my walk to work.
