This was taken on the bike path, when I was walking back from the post office.
I’m not normally one for bright, cutesy stuff, but I may have a slight washi tape problem nonetheless.
I found a cufflink in my button stash, depicting Sputnik and a rocket.
This morning started off well.
Walking to work, I passed a patch of sidewalk covered in stains from fallen walnuts. They looked like little comets, so I took a photo then inverted the image to make a digital negative. Et voila, a comet storm. The lines in the pavement even mimic the horizontal lines across early satellite images of Earth.
You can buy pretty, dyed skeletonized leaves at any craft store, but this year the weather conditions have been perfect for creating them naturally. There are giant drifts of them below several trees I pass on my walk to work.
