Sketch

Sketch for a Painting

This is the sketch for the red boat painting. I’d intended the stars to be the Pleiades, more or less. I thought I might be able to use a stamp to create them, but that didn’t work, so I painted them freehand.

Sewn on Tapes
exposed spine sewn on tapes
4 5/8 x 4 3/4 inches
handmade paper and recycled boards
14 signature of 2 sheets (56 pages)

I’ve never sewn a binding on tapes before, so I gave it a try. I’d probably make a few small tweaks next time, but it turned out pretty well.
