This Is Not Africa

November 17, 2011February 27, 2016 Shelly

Don't Do This

No, it is not, boys and girls. What this is is an excellent example of why we do not paint latex over oils. It is one of my two bathroom walls that are peeling. Also the bathroom ceiling. Also the bathroom, bedroom, and front doors, both inside and out. (I did not perpetrate this disaster; some previous tenant did. But I do get to live with the aftermath. Joy.)

I admit that I bought this particular candy bar because I liked the wrapper. So I guess that’s a marketing win.

3 Little Pigs

ALSO! Remember this book of found poetry? I ordered another volume of Very Bad Poems by the same author. When it arrives, there will be much cutting and rearranging and frankenpoeming. (Yes, that’s a word. I just made it up.) Also, there will be arting.

Japanese Maple Leaf

Found on my patio, which is funny, because I don’t think there are any Japanese maple trees nearby.
