The Garden

Wild Rose

I’m not sure exactly what this is. Some kind of wild rose. I don’t think it’s multiflora, though. It volunteered last year and seems to be thriving.

Sedum

The sedum is not dead, either. Yay!

Violets

Happy violets in the back field are happy. Doves are nesting in the for tree by my patio and cooing their little hearts out. Little brown birds are everywhere. My irises and surprise lilies are poking up from the ground, too. It’s Spring!

Sitting in the Dark

Sitting in the Dark

We have motion sensitive lights at work. We were assured that they would be able to detect the movement of people working in their cubicles. Well, that turns out to be untrue. I can’t even trigger the lights by standing up and waving my arms around. I have to get up, walk into the aisle, and wave my arms. Every 5 minutes. Or I can just sit in the dark.

Piglet Inside Aquarium

Piglet Inside Aquarium

My last fish died, just a couple of days after Franny tore her ACL. It was like the start of a really pitiful country song. I don’t miss the fish so much as I miss the gurgling, splashing sound from the filter. I buried Fishstick under my butterfly bush, but it took me a few days to get around to cleaning out the aquarium. Not two minutes after I’d done so, and had it propped upside down in the tub to drain, Piglet was on the scene and looking for a way to get inside it. Brat.
