There is something about paper recycled from grocery bags that appeals to me. I’ve bound several books made from them. Kraft paper just isn’t the same, for some reason. I think it’s not as soft or thick, and it’s lacking wrinkles and abrasions from having been used.

The ink in this pen is a bit watersoluble, but not enough to get a satisfying, bleedy wash. it goes blue in a wash, too, which is not great. The pen has a fine, fibrous tip and makes a lovely, delicate line, though. I think it’ll be really fun to doodle with.

I was leafing through an old medical book and this illustration jumped out at me. I love (no, not really) when the only thing worth mentioning about women is that we have ovaries.

I finally finished working in the single sheet coptic book I bound a couple of months ago. I need to scan the pages, but until then, a sample cell phone photo will have to do.
I now have a bunch of leftover tiny cut-out Elvis heads sitting on my work table.
