We’ve actually had a very lovely spring, so far. It’s been a little chilly, and though the rain is kind of annoying, it’s good for all the growing things. It’s a nice change from the past few years, where we skipped spring entirely and went straight to summer.

Still Hating DST
It was still light out when I went to bed last night, which makes it difficult to fall asleep. It also makes it difficult to tell whether or not the aquarium light is still on. Oops! I got up this morning, and my poor little fishies had spent the whole night under interrogation lights.
In unrelated wackiness, I’m now getting Korean junk mail. Not spam, mind you, but good, old fashioned postal mail. I think the company has seriously misjudged their target audience.
Ch-ch-ch-changes
I just went to the supply room to get a package of Post-its. There weren’t any, so I commented to a coworker that we’re out. Her response: “We didn’t even used to have Post-its.” Oh. Alrightythen! We didn’t used to have computers, either, and yet, life without them is now damned near unthinkable.
I wonder if she’ll forsake her car when she finds out that people used to ride in horse-drawn carriages?
Puppy: The Aftermath
Gangstagrass
Gangstagrass is a mash-up of rap and bluegrass, and it’s absolutely brilliant. They’re releasing the album free, but their website is bogged down right now, because there are so many people trying to access it. If you have a torrent client, you can download the album via The Pirate Bay. (Via BoingBoing.)
Filing Basquills
I finally got the mountains of papers under some sort of control yesterday. I spent most of the day on it, finishing up at about 11:00 last night. I still have a small stack of strays, but I’m out of file folders, hanging files, and motivation.
Only a few of them are directly related to me. My theory is that somehow, they’re all related, though, so I’ve made a little side-project out of trying to connect them up.
Coral Bells
I don\’t think these are going to bloom this year, after being transplanted, but the foliage is pretty, especially when it’s speckled with raindrops. These don’t look anything like the leaves on my mom’s coral bells. Hers are pointy and dark purple. These remind me of geranium leaves (I think mine must be the “green spice” variety).
