I wish it would rain. The radar has been showing a large swath of precipitation hovering to the northwest of us, but it seems to be stalled. Maybe there’s a force field around Bloomington?
Rainy Day
I made curried lentils yesterday. Today I added some greens to them. Yum. Perfect for a rainy day.
Rainshadows
It poured rain this morning. I sat in my car for a few minutes, parked under a street light, hoping it would slack off but knowing it wouldn’t. The pattern of the shadows on everything inside my car was kind of magical.
A Patch of Blue Between the Storms
What did it do today? Why, it rained, of course. What’s it going to do tonight? Rain. Of course!
Morning Storm
It seemed like maybe the sun wasn’t going to bother coming up this morning, it was so dark.
Moving Off
This storm warranted tornado warnings to the northwest, but it calmed down before it got to us, thankfully. We just got a whole lot of distant, rumbly thunder and a brief rainshower.
Summer Is Here
It isn’t officially summer until you’ve been caught in a sudden cloudburst and soaked to the skin.
So I can cross that one off the To Do list.
Tornado Warning
Of course the storm sirens went off while I was walking to my car after work. Why wouldn’t they? Radar swears there was a tornado in that thing, but who knows? It was to the northeast, which is the direction I was heading. Not that far northeast, though.
