I was a little late for work this morning, but I have no regrets, because I got to see this while I was scraping my car. What a gorgeous winter morning.

I did not want to work today, but at least the weather was nice. Cloudy, but warm.
Belt of Venus from the Colonnade
This was yesterday morning, from the colonnade in front of the library. Every morning I take a moment to enjoy the patch of sky framed between the building and the columns.
Morning Belt of Venus
There were clouds along the western sky this morning, and the tops of them reflected the tail end of the sunrise while the Belt of Venus glowed the cloud cover. The combination produced a pink glow that was much more intense than you’d see from just the Belt of Venus itself.
