Not only have I not killed the oxalis plant I inherited from my boss when she retired, but it’s blooming its fool head off. It just keeps getting thicker and fuller and happier, so I think it must like the spot it’s in.

Butterfly Bush
The tiny sprig of butterfly bush that my neighbor gave me has settled in and flourished, despite the dry weather.

It’s been a brutally dry summer, so there’s not much growing in my garden. The sedum seems to be pretty happy, though.
Oxalis
My boss gave away a bunch of her plants when she retired, so I took her oxalis. I brought it home to replace the soil and feed it. I’m letting it hang out on my kitchen table for awhile, because it seems to really like it there. It’s put out a ton of new growth.
