The Last of the Leaves

November 14, 2009December 21, 2015 Shelly

DSCN0504

I took this last week, before the last of the leaves fell from the trees across from the library. They’re pretty much bare now.

Sleepy Dog is Sleepy

November 10, 2009December 21, 2015 Shelly

DSCN0525

This was taken early Sunday evening. I was busy folding laundry while Sleeping Beauty was, um, sleeping. At one point, I plopped a basket of clothes on top of her, and not even that woke her up.

The Last Canna

November 8, 2009December 21, 2015 Shelly

IMG_4174

I can’t believe how well the cannas did this year! Last year I planted several bulbs, and they came up, but didn’t do anything. This year, they must have been happy, because a couple of them reached 7 feet tall, and they all bloomed their silly heads off.

Miss Brown was a sad, sick puppy today. She’s feeling better now. And, of course, she’s decided to commandeer all the pillows on my bed.

At the Center

November 5, 2009December 21, 2015 Shelly

I love this image and the fact that in 1910 Bloomington, Indiana, was at the center of the country’s population.

I love how the buildings change color over the course of the morning, from gold to silver.

I’m trying to do NaNoWriMo again this year. I’m not getting much done during the week, but I am getting enough written each day that I should be able to get caught up on the weekends. We’ll see.
