There’s some fish-eye action with this lens, but that’s typical of all small cameras. I usually straighten bowed lines in Photoshop, but I kind of liked these, so I left them in.

Still testing and playing with the new camera. The macro function works pretty well, considering that you can’t manually control the focus points.
Sleepy Puppy is Sleepy
I doped Harriet up on Zyrtec, to help with her itchies. Her skin infection is back, so she has a vet appointment on Monday morning. In the meantime, antihistamines are our friend.

Instant Review: Canon PowerShot A1100IS
The camera I’ve been wanting was finally in stock, so I bought it. I’ve done a few test shots, and am very, very happy with it. The lens is nice for the price. Lines parallel to the edge of the image are still slightly curved, but much less so than on my other little camera. Image quality is nice and detailed, even in low light macro shots. A little too detailed, maybe. I need to vacuum.

Video is also decent. This was in low light at maximum zoom, so it’s slightly shaky and grainy, but not as much as I would have expected.

Green Beans
I think Harriet would eat all the green beans in the world, if she had half a chance. Frozen, cooked, raw, it doesn’t matter, they’re all good to her.
Oil Pastels
I’ve had the box since Drawing I. None of the original crayons are still in it, of course, but the box is more or less in one piece.
Roofers
The roofers are supposedly going to be done replacing the gravel (the final step) tomorrow. I am dubious. It took them most of the day to blow gravel onto the south side of the building, so I can’t imagine that they’ll finish the rest in one day. “The rest” would include the section below my cubicle. I’d rather not be around when they get to my area, because the stone blower is loud. It’s like a ginormous reverse shop vac. So, I decided to take tomorrow off work.
Sunset
Yesterday’s sunset was spectacular. As it faded, there were some wispy pink clouds to the north.
