I just added a bunch more paintings to the shop.
Little Paper Boats
These are now available in my Etsy shop: Red Paper Boat. They were made from a large painting I did years ago that had gotten damaged. I cut it up and recycled it into new art.
Buy now, because after I’ve got the money for Franny’s surgery, prices will go up. I’m just not motivated enough to sell stuff under normal conditions to price it this low.

This is a detail from an old painting. I think sometimes it’s kind of interesting to isolate small areas of a larger work and then treat them as photographs in their own rights. Plus, doodles? I have apparently been doing this for a LONG time.

Painting Progress
I stopped working on this ages ago because I hated the Laura Ashley underpainting. It was awful, and I just couldn’t think past it. The painting is back on track now, and hopefully, if the drippy bits dry enough overnight, I’ll be able to finish it tomorrow.

My supervisor is retiring at the end of the week. Her bon voyage party is tomorrow, and we’re presenting her with a scrapbook. This is going to be my contribution. It’s an older piece, but I think she’ll like it.
Snow and Paint
Yuck. It’s pretty enough, but it’s cold and it’s a pain in the ass to drive in and I’m ready for spring. Which is coming, by the way. I know, because it was still reasonably light out last night at 6pm, despite the fact that it was overcast. Hello, longer days! I have missed you!
Also, we are painting again!
Or, at least, working on paintings we started two years ago. Jeebus. And in the process, I think I’ve discovered that I’m allergic to Daniel Smith paints. I don’t know why, because the ingredients can’t possibly be very different from those of other paints, but other paints do not make me sneeze and sniffle or my nose itch. Very weird.
More Progress
It’s taking forever, now that I’m working on this one again, but it’s a ginormous painting, so I guess that’s to be expected.
