There’s a big patch of mostly white clover next to my patio, and the bees are loving it. I also noticed the jewel weed in the thicket is blooming.
We’re currently under a tornado warning.
The color on these fancy red daylilies never comes out right, no matter what camera I’m using. These are pretty close though! I got them from a friend’s mom in 2007. They were moving out of state and let me take a bunch of perennials and bulbs from their garden. Her mom passed away a couple of years ago, but her flowers live on.
I’m using super cheap ass gouache for these, so the coverage is not flat and amazing, but they’re fun to play with.
This little chonk sat at the bird bath for about ten minutes, just having a think.
Grocery pickup day is Piglet’s favorite day. I always let him have a bag to hide out in. He’ll usually stay in there for a few hours, having a think.
Every morning when I get out of the shower, I have a near death experience. I should probably get a lighter color bath mat.
The yarrow in my garden is blooming. Or trying to. I think the resident deer parked her baby in my flower bed, because there was a fawn sized flat spot in the middle of everything. Alas, poor yarrow.
I found an intact robin egg in a clover patch, while I was out walking the dog.
Today in pear news, it’s all about checkerboards.
I had the weirdest dream last night. All I remember is a steep driveway totally inlaid with thousands of half-buried, polished stones of various sizes and colors. It looked jewel encrusted. Very pretty! But when I woke up, all I could think was that it would be a nightmare to go up in the rain or snow.
I’m guessing spending the last few days making zillions of circles and dots is what caused it.
