I have no idea what these are. I think they must be part of a wildflower mix I scattered last spring, that didn’t germinate until this year.

I was outside looking at the purple iris buds (soon!), while Piglet supervised from the window.

This was how I found Piglet when I got out of the shower this morning. I have no idea what the little dude was doing.
Laugh or Cry?
I came home to this today. I’m pretty sure that bed rest does not include dumpster diving.
She’s supposed to be crated, and that would certainly give her the best recovery odds. She totally freaks out when crated alone, though. Screaming and thrashing around and basically acting hysterical. Definitely not what you want a dog with a spinal injury doing. So I’m doing my best to keep her quiet while I’m at work, but it isn’t a perfect situation, and today she was feeling chipper and bored enough to get into the trash.
So. On the one hand, I want to cry, because this dog is determined to break herself. On the other hand, I have to laugh, because of COURSE she got in the trash.

I Voted
I took a brief break from sitting and staring at the dog, to go vote. It’s rainy and chilly, so I expect that will affect turnout. There seemed to be a steady trickle of voters, though.
