Another freebie from a coworker. I wasn’t sure I wanted hostas, but now that I’ve got them, I like them. This one is variegated, so it’s got white and green leaves. It makes a nice change from the rest of the standard green in the garden.

This is on the end of one of the dumpsters on our loading dock. I have no idea what the numbers mean. A zip code? If so, it’s not one from this area.
Skeletonized
This was sitting on my patio table when I got home this evening. What’s funny is that, when I left work, I saw a bunch of skeletonized leaves under a tree by the loading dock. I leave that way every day, but had never noticed them before.

Poor, abused puppy. The worst part was the cats swarming around like a couple of sharks. Treats on the nose and landsharks! It was almost too much for her to bear.

I looked through a few old history textbooks in my “stuff for collage” pile and noticed that all the illustrations contained in them were of men. Hundreds and hundreds of pages of history, and not a single woman was depicted. If aliens landed on Earth, they could easily get the impression that women didn’t exist until sometime around the 1950s.
(I mean, I realize women are grievously underrepresented in history books, but I still expected at least one token ladyperson. Nope!)
