I’ve never really used Picnik PicMonkey (an on-line photo editing utility), but a couple of the effects are kind of fun, so I’ve been playing around with it. This is yesterday’s rainbow, the Very Long Barn, and Beck Chapel & Dunn Cemetery, all edited in PicMonkey with the Orton-izer. I’ve tried an Orton action for Photoshop and wasn’t too impressed with the results. PicMonkey seems to do a better job of it.

Rose Barlow
The columbine mystery has been solved. It finally bloomed, and the variety is Rose Barlow.
Pretty, isn’t it? It’s not the usual columbine shape, but that’s fine with me. I have a bunch of “normal” columbine seeds to plant, so it’ll be good to have something a little different.
And now for a weed.
This fleabane plant keeps coming back in the same spot. I need to pull it (again), but before doing so, I thought I’d better take some photos of it. I’ve always liked its little daisy-like flowers.
More Double Rainbow
Double Rainbow
It started thundering and raining a little bit ago. I looked out the patio window, because the light had gotten a little funny looking, and saw a rainbow. I didn’t notice until I had downloaded the photo to my computer that it was a double bow. If you look closely, you can see a faint bow outside of the primary bow.
