St. Patrick’s Day Sunrise
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! March 17 is also the day my Flickr account expires, and every year I waffle about whether or not to renew it. And every year, I eventually decide it’s worth it. So that’s what my subconscious spent the day mulling over. Exciting stuff, I know.
Actually, there was excitement today!
The fire alarm at work went off at 3:30. And it was not a drill. Apparently the motor in one of the elevators caught on fire. (Spring break is this week, otherwise there would have been hundreds of people on the lawn.)

I don’t often get interesting stuff to catalog. That’s the nature of government documents. Occasionally, though, one of the old, crumbly books that come across my desk has marginalia or notes that catch my eye. I don’t recall the title of this one, but it was a collection of memoirs of 17th century Dutch traders in Ceylon.
