This is what you get for 10 years of service at IU. That and some cookies, thanks to the Big Giant Head. Do not hate me for my embarrassment of riches.

Lights Out
Someone forgot to turn the lights back on this morning at work. The entire building was closed down yesterday, because of the Thanksgiving holiday. When it opened back up this morning, maintenance must not have realized that there would be a few people working in Tech Services. Not that I’m complaining. It was kind of nice, for once, to work in the dark and the blessed quiet. (The light in the distance is from a bank of windows along the east end of the room.)
Math. On the Wall.
DO NOT Lower Door
DO NOT Lower Door. There could be serious consequences if this door is forced down. It will automatically drop in case of fire and this is the only time it is to be closed.
Oops! Door has been lowered!
I’m not sure what these little dumbwaiter elevator thingies were used for. I believe, years ago, the library stacks were closed to the public. When you wanted a book, you’d write the call number on a slip of paper and a page would fetch it for you. I’m assuming these little elevators were used to send books from the stacks down to the main floor. They’ve obviously been out of use for years.

ALSO! Remember this book of found poetry? I ordered another volume of Very Bad Poems by the same author. When it arrives, there will be much cutting and rearranging and frankenpoeming. (Yes, that’s a word. I just made it up.) Also, there will be arting.
