I pass this barn regularly. Every spring, I promise myself that I’ll stop and take a photo of it with the locust trees in bloom, and every spring, I forget for one reason or another. Today, I remembered.
I decided that the middle of a torrential downpour was the time to go shopping. I waited in my car, in the parking lot, for a few minutes, until the worst had passed. The rain sheeting across the windows distorted the world around me.
