Believe it or not, after a grim start, it cleared up later in the day.

I love how the buildings change color over the course of the morning, from gold to silver.

I’m trying to do NaNoWriMo again this year. I’m not getting much done during the week, but I am getting enough written each day that I should be able to get caught up on the weekends. We’ll see.

Indiana Sky

DSCN0372

It was kind of gross today, but for a brief moment this morning, after the clouds rolled in to the northwest, there was still enough of a clearing in the eastern sky for the rising sun to light up the buildings across from the library.

Sun and Clouds

August 18, 2009December 2, 2015 Shelly

DSCN0247

The sky to the north was dark and cloudy, but to the south, it briefly cleared up. The sun shining on the buildings across from the library was dazzling.

Summer Sky

Notice what’s missing from this photo? My little friend was there yesterday, but when I looked out the window this morning, it was gone. No more big, blue construction crane! I’m a little sad. The sky looks kind of bare and lonely now.

Storm Clouds

I was closing the blinds and saw that the sunset was reflecting off some clouds in the east. There’s a large fir tree in the way, though, so it wasn’t until I was outside that I saw how dramatic the clouds were.

Mammatus Clouds

These are my favorite cloud formations, because they’re dramatic, but not normally directly associated with severe storms. They only lasted a short while before dissipating, and then the sky was just boring rainy grey for the rest of the afternoon. Luckily, I happened to look out the window at the right time.

This afternoon

100_5720
Yesterday morning

I did a little cleaning up of the dark areas on the second photo. Other than that, and the fact that it’s a little better centered, it’s pretty close to the one I posted yesterday.
