Happy solstice! It’s raining now, but the morning sky was pretty.
The sky was pretty impressive, ahead of last night’s storm. We got good rain, too. And finally! Something bloomed in my garden! This year has been terrible. I lost all my columbine, as well as my coral bells. I may have lost my wild geranium. The hostas are super skimpy this year and didn’t bloom. Same with the irises. But I have a million day lilly buds, so those should bloom soon, if the deer don’t eat them.
It’s cloudy and gross again, but the sunrise this morning was stunning.
It poured later in the morning, but while I was walking the dog, amazing things were going on up there.
I’m ready for this ungodly cold spell to die a painful death, but at least the sky was pretty for about five minutes this morning.
Not a bad way to start the day, but I have a feeling that may be the high point. Happy Monday!
Yet another perfectly timed trip to the kitchen for coffee.
I missed the sunrise, but I caught the pink afterglow in the northwest sky.
Another well timed mosey to the coffee maker, which included a walk by the windows. I didn’t think we’d get much of a sunrise this morning, because it was cloudy, but I was wrong.
