A strong storm system moved in last night, just as it was starting to get dark. The rain was welcome, but the lightning and thunder, not so much.

I think the sun forgot to rise this morning.
The Sun Came Up
I overslept this morning. I don’t think my alarm went off. I woke up an hour late, but only because Piglet was messing around with stuff on my bedside table. Sometimes he’s a useful jerk. As I got to work, the sky was just turning a light, greenish blue. Then a few minutes later, it exploded into pinks and oranges.

Happy Tuesday! The rain has finally ended, and the sky is clear and beautiful. So clear, in fact, that the temperature dropped overnight. I had to scrape frost off my car windows this morning.

Once again, I picked the perfect time to take out the trash.
Morning Belt of Venus
It was about 5F at 5:30 this morning, when I left for work. There wasn’t much frost on my car windows, but what there was was stuck on with super glue. It took me almost 20 minutes to get everything scraped. And then, even though I’d started the car and had the heater cranked all the way up, there was still frost on the inside of my windshield.
Ick.
And then the sun came up and everything was forgiven. What a gorgeous sky!
