Winter Leaves
For once, the weather forecast was correct. We got quite a bit of snow last night. Enough that I decided to take a snow day. Most of my patio is sheltered, so only the heavier sleet has blown in where the flower pots are stored, upside down, along the patio window. Leaves got caught in the bottom of this one, then froze and refroze in a pool of water that accumulated.

My boss’ boss has the cubicle next to mine. When she was out for the holiday break, she asked me to water her plants. I warned her that I have The Black Thumb of Dqqm, but she was not impressed. Apparently her African violet wasn’t impressed, either, because it DID NOT DIE! In fact, it started blooming it’s silly little head off.

I feel like someone replaced my brain with a wool blanket. Ugh. I don’t know what it is, but my allergies have been bad the last couple of days. It seems to have coincided with the start of the Indiana Rainy Season, so I’m guessing leaf mold is the culprit.

And a funny story break.
LIT (the library’s IT department) sent out a mass email telling us to be careful opening attachments, even if we know the person who apparently sent them. Anyone want to guess how this better-late-than-never advice was distributed? Yep, as an attachment. Epic fail, LIT!
