Beautiful Day
There was just a touch of frost on my car windshield this morning, and the trees, despite the drought, are trying their best to turn.
A Taste of Autumn
The flame-leaf sumac is starting to turn.
Thanks to an anonymous patron of teh artz, my camera set-up has been greatly upgraded. So thank you, kind anonymous patron! Today’s photos were all test shots, to get a feel for the new equipment. I can now sneak up on butterflies and bees, which makes me happy.
The Last of the Leaves
I took this last week, before the last of the leaves fell from the trees across from the library. They’re pretty much bare now.

In the top photo, the rising sun is catching the tops of the trees. I love my view at that time of day, because when the sun is shining, it doesn’t matter what season it is, it’s beautiful.
Compass
It was overcast for most of the afternoon, but the day was still beautiful. There are crunchy leaves everywhere, and it smells and sounds like fall.

The sky finally cleared up this afternoon. For about 10 minutes. It was pretty while it lasted, though.

The weather was awful today, but there was a bit of color from the leaves, which are starting to turn.
