What a gorgeous morning! It was cloudy when I was out with the dog this morning, so I didn’t think the sky would be very interesting when the sun came up, but I was wrong.

Thomas and I went for a snifty around the back field. Well, he sniffed. I just supervised.
Tower of Babel, Ahoy
I was trying to use Google Translate to make sure I was interpreting a Spanish language title correctly. I had previously used it to check something in German, and that setting stuck, so Google tried to translate Spanish as if it were German. It lost it’s damn mind.
Leaves
The grounds crew were piling up leaves around campus today. This one was about four feet tall.
Free Bulbs
The electric company offered free LED bulbs to customers a while back. I’d totally forgotten about it and almost bought some last weekend. I switched most of my lights to LED, but still have a few horrid CFLs. Now I can replace them.
LED bulbs have come down in price, but they’re not cheap. It was nice to get them for free. And not just a couple, either. SIX! That’s significant.
Baby Boy
Thomas has been super affectionate lately. It’s like something suddenly clicked in his little pea brain, or maybe it’s the chilly weather. He spent about half an hour last night, half on my lap, just sucking up the attention.
Stragglers
I should clear the garden, but there are still a few skippers and sulphurs showing up to feed on the tail end of my sad zinnias.
Three Months
It’s been three months since I adopted Thomas. I think I’ll keep him.

I had to work today, but it wasn’t all bad.
Best Boy
Sometimes he stops moving for five seconds, and it’s kind of lovely. Then other times, I wake up at 2:00 in the morning, and he’s under the bed, chewing on a sock.
