The tomato seedlings in this pot are about twice the size of those in the other pot, but that may because they’re different varieties. I planted both sandwich tomatoes and Romas, but I can’t remember which are which, so I’ll have to wait and see.

Happy Got Day, Henry and Polly!
One year ago today, I brought two naughty kittens into my home. They immediately commenced to turning everything upside-down and inside-out, like it was their job. And I suppose it is.
Stuff on My Cat
The Girls
Harriet’s breath got kind of (okay, really) stinky a couple of months ago. I was going to schedule her for a dental cleaning, but it occurred to me that she hadn’t been chewing on her bones lately. I hunted around and found one under the couch and one at the bottom of her toy box. I dug them out, primed one with peanut butter, and she immediately set to chewing. Her teeth aren’t back to normal yet, but they’re much better. Hopefully she’ll get them in shape on her own, because at her age, I really don’t want to have to have her anesthetized unless it’s absolutely necessary.
I can’t believe I didn’t notice that she’d lost her chewy bones! I feel terrible. Poor puppy!

Columbine
One of the maintenance guys brought me a couple of columbine plants. I don’t know what kind yet, but he said he thought they were the typical pointy-ended variety. I put them in the ground last night, and they seem to be perky today, so hopefully they’ll be happy and will bloom this season. They’re still pretty small, so it’ll be awhile. In the meantime, this is a top-down shot of the Rose Barlow columbine that’s taking over the end of one of my beds.
And an Instant Review: Seido Case for BlackBerry Phones
Love! I got one of their semi-hard cases, the Innocase 360. The plastic is stiff but flexible, with a matte surface that’s grippy and feels nice to the touch. It comes in two pieces and snaps together. There’s a built-in screen protector and keyboard cover. Both fit tightly, and if anything, the keyboard cover makes typing even easier.

Raindrops on Irises
My favorite weather guy who screwed up Saturday’s forecast? He actually wrote a blog post to apologize for getting it wrong. As if he were the only one. Weather.com and our NBC affiliate were incorrect, too, but you won’t find either of them apologizing for it. This is why he’s my favorite weather guy.
In the meantime, the flowers are really enjoying all the rain. Me, not so much. A tree fell on a neighbor’s house (no wind, just super saturated ground), and I’m pretty sure a transformer also blew. We were without electricity for a few hours this afternoon. Yuck.
