The Sun Came Up
I overslept this morning. I don’t think my alarm went off. I woke up an hour late, but only because Piglet was messing around with stuff on my bedside table. Sometimes he’s a useful jerk. As I got to work, the sky was just turning a light, greenish blue. Then a few minutes later, it exploded into pinks and oranges.
“There is something outside that requires my immediate attention.”
Frances scrunches up her lips when she disapproves of the outdoors shenanigans. It’s her “revving up the sasser” face.
As much as it annoys me when she barks at every damn thing, it’s a relief that she’s returning to her normal sassypantsing self.
Piglet and Little Fatty
Piglet and Polly have a love-hate relationship. Mostly hate, but every once in a while, you can find them hanging out together. They swear they have no idea how that even happens, though.
Brownies
I don’t understand why people buy pre-made brownie mixes. They’re super quick and easy to make from scratch. Much easier and more forgiving than cake, and it literally takes five minutes to get them into the oven. A box mix isn’t any faster.
Tip: You know the recipe is good, when the batter isn’t pourable. Brownie batter should stay in a tiny mountain until you smooth it over.
Rolly-poly
Life is all about Frances these days. She’s been recovering so slowly that it’s hard to see the progress. I think the nice weather makes her feel better, though. And maybe baking her old bones is helping the healing, too? Today she’s getting up and down more easily, and this is the first time she’s had a good rolly-poly session, since she injured herself.

Since Frances can’t get on the furniture, I’ve been spending time in the evenings Netflixing and sitting on the floor with her.
And yes, Pit Bulls are lap dogs. Obvs.
