I’m not a huge hosta fan. The blooms aren’t showy, and they don’t last long. This particular plant has become quite pretty though, I think. It seems to thrive on deep shade, wet clay soil, and total neglect.

Not EMS
The university is changing the codes on employee parking permits, to standardize them across campuses. What was previously a C permit will now be an EM-S permit. Not to be confused with EMS (emergency medical services).
Fire Alarm
It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood and therefore a perfect day for a fire alarm. Of which we were long overdue for, onna counta it’s been at least a week since the last one.
Also, breakfast of champions: spinach bagel, cashews, and diet Coke.

I have no idea what these are. I think they must be part of a wildflower mix I scattered last spring, that didn’t germinate until this year.
