…over at the Frankenstein place.
When I got to work, there was a single light shining through the trees.
I hate making phone calls. HATE IT. But I had a list of calls to make. Piglet is due for his yearly physical, and I needed to schedule my free yearly carpet cleaning before the voucher from the leasing office expired. I was expecting the carpet cleaners to be fairly busy, but they said they could come tomorrow. EEEP! So I spent the evening cleaning and moving stuff out of the way and vacuuming.
And now it’s done, and my apartment is sparkly clean.
I had some time while waiting for the bus this morning, so I had a wander around the garden.
And no, I still don’t have my car back. The shop called to tell me it was finished, and I went to pick it up, but the brakes still weren’t right. They think the pedal just needs to be adjusted. It was so soft that there was no reaistance at all and no braking until the pedal was on the floor. It did brake, though!
They promised they’d work on it first thing in the morning and that it will FOR REAL be finished tomorrow.
I got out the big camera, for a change. All these were taken with a Lensbaby 2.0. Close-ups were taken with a macro filter.

And guess what? My car still isn’t fixed. They put everything back together and still couldn’t get the brake lines to pressurize, because the master cylinder is also shot. So that’s going to double my repair bill. They said the part should arrive tomorrow morning, and they promised it would be ready to pick up by the end of the day tomorrow.
I thought that the one silver lining of losing Frances, and it was a pretty piss poor one, was that I would finally be done hemorrhaging ridiculous amounts of money. HA! No, I would not be that lucky.
