I picked up groceries on my way home from work, so today was basically Piglet’s favorite day ever. He sat in a paper bag for a couple of hours, then he spent some quality time in a plastic bag. It’s good to have options.

Raindrops
I will never get tired of raindrops on flowers. It’s the best part of summer.
Flowery Things
The deer left me a few of the plain red daylilies. And I finally planted some zinnia seeds. They’re super late, but once they start blooming they’ll keep it up until the first frost.

Evening Daylily
The deer have finally noticed the daylily buds, but they left me a couple of yellow flowers. I think I may try discouraging them with pinwheels next year. They won’t hurt anything, and they might help?
Puffballs
We’ve had a lot of rain lately. There are tons of little puffballs popping up all over the back field. I also found a blue jay feather. I know I shouldn’t pick them up, but what goes in my journal is between me and my journal, okay?
Rainbow with Spokes
After all the storm drama last night, there was a rainbow! You can see faint spokes toward the top section.

I started the top one yesterday. I think Thomas approves.
It Bloomed
The big, yellow daylily bud opened today. I went out to look at the sky, but got distracted by the flowers. And then I dropped my phone on the patio and cracked the protective cover over the lenses. Better than breaking the phone, though!

My yellow daylilies are about to bloom. I really hope the deer don’t get to them first.
