This little alien was on sale, so I couldn’t resist. I wouldn’t normally waste money on a unitasker, but it shuts automatically, so it will let me cook hard-boiled eggs while I’m in the shower. It also allegedly poaches eggs and makes omelets. And it’s really freaking cute!
I took Thomas out to the back field this morning. There were hundreds of tiny spider webs in the grass, covered in dew. And then I saw this one, by the raspberry thicket, sparkling in the sunlight.
And then I planted some zinnia and butterfly mix seeds. Better late than never, right?
Also I found my little geode, buried under some virginia creeper. I have no idea how it got there. Last time I saw it, it was in a flower pot with my chives.
This is totally abstract–splatter on the wall behind my stove, under UV light–but after playing around in Snapseed, an eyeball emerged. It’s a creepy little alien face that doesn’t actually exist.
Thomas is allowed on the furniture, and he does sleep on the couch somwtimes, but the ottoman is his favorite spot. He spent so much time up there that I finally put one of his beds on top of it. So now it’s a bedonatuffet.
I have no idea what kind of mushroom this is. With all the rain we’ve had lately, toadstools are popping up everywhere. I know someone whose dog died from eating one, so I’m always paranoid about my dog getting hold of one.
