This lens is nowhere near fast enough to catch raindrops, but I gave it a try, anyway.
About the only good thing I can say about the current weather is that the rain might melt the ice off my car. I’m not holding my breath, though, because it’s still below freezing, and my car looks like a giant, blue ice cube.
My cube neighbor also works part-time at a local grocery store. The floral department there was giving away left-over, past-their-prime roses from Valentine’s Day, so she brought some in to work. They smell amazing. Too often anymore, roses have been bred for blossom longevity, shape, and color at the expense of scent. Not these roses, though.

I am terrible at making diagrams, especially when they’re supposed to be to scale. Somehow, though, I was the one who ended up in charge of the white board.
It occurred to me, about half-way through the meeting, that it would be nice if we had a gridded white board. Wouldn’t that be nifty?
As to why we had to have a meeting and white board diagrams, just so we could move a freaking table down the aisle 10 feet, that will forever remain a mystery to me.
These are the rest of the photos I took of yesterday’s storm clouds. I say storm, but it was really just wind and rain. It looked much more dramatic than it was. Still, I’m glad that I got my driving out of the way before the wind really picked up. I hate being blown all over the road.

If the sky is clear Wednesday night, a total lunar eclipse will be visible across North and South America (Alaska excepted), western Africa, and western Europe.
It’s supposed to be cloudy here, of course. Hrmf!
There’s an old utility pole at the back of the thicket behind my apartment. I keep trying to get a decent photo of it, because I love its little white bucket and fusilli-shaped coils. This one isn’t great, but it’s the best I’ve managed so far.
As promised, it started raining last night, and the wind picked up. There was a short break in the rain, and I went out to get some photos.
It warmed up, too–it’s 57F right now–so the ice on the bottoms of my flower pots is finally gone.
One last photo, this time of ice covering the bottom of an up-ended flower pot. Since my patio doesn’t get any direct sunlight in the winter, ice and snow stick around even when we’ve had highs in the 40s for a couple of days.
