I love the way these red daylilies look in the bright sunlight. Not that I’m enjoying the ungodly heat, but it is nice to see the sun once in awhile.

It’s been ungodly hot lately, so I figured it was a good time to trim my hair a bit.
It’s only six inches off the bottom, but it feels like a lot. Hopefully it’ll be a little cooler now. Ugh.

Last Night
Harriet, last night, waiting impatiently for her supper. There was much heaving of sighs and smacking of lips and twitching of ears. You can’t really tell from that photo, but she’s got so much grey in her coat now that she looks like a miniature red roan horse. Old dog is old.

One of my coworkers had a bouquet of hydrangeas sitting on her desk, so of course, I had to take a photo.
Celandine Poppy
This may also be wood poppy. They’re very similar, and I’m not sure how to tell the difference between the two. It’s coming through the fence from my neighbor’s garden, so I guess you could say it’s a gift from her, too. I’m not sure what to do about it, because it’s really aggressive. So much so that it’s choking out the mint in her garden, which is impressive!

My neighbor brought me a baby butterfly bush last week. I put immediately put it in the ground, and it has rewarded me with itty bitty flowers.

Cat Tail
I looked out the patio window and saw a tail sticking out from between the containers on my patio. One of the area strays decided it was a good place to lie in ambush for bunnies.
