The students had gorgeous weather for move-in day. Traffic on the way home from work wasn’t too bad, either.
Ain’t it foggy outside
This was yesterday morning, not today. And tomorrow, it’s student move-in day, which means traffic will be absolutely ridiculous. I’ll take my iPod with me and try to think happy thoughts. No matter how bad it is, it won’t be anything compared to what folks in China are going through. I can’t even imagine being stuck in a month-long traffic jam. Aieeee!

This little guy spends a lot of time sitting on that perch. It must give him a good vantage point for hunting. Which he’d been doing, as his beak had food all over it.
Lazy Dog Day
It was hot again today, so instead of sunbathing, Harriet had to make do with lazing around indoors.

Today is the 90th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution. And today, the last of the US combat troops pulled out of Iraq.

Northern Sky at Sunrise
We didn’t have much of a sunrise this morning, but the sky outside my cubicle window was quite lovely. The clouds were soon gone, and now the weather people are saying we won’t get any rain until Saturday. If then. Oh, and it’s supposed to be back in the 90sF tomorrow. Fun times!
Cirrus Clouds
The weather was beautiful today, with wispy cirrus clouds wafting by. Folk wisdom says that cirrus clouds mean it will rain in the next day or two. I really hope so, because we (still!) need it.
