Vending Machine
When the new vending machine was installed in the staff lounge, we were told that one of the perks would be healthier snacks. So this week, they have replaced some of the small bags of chips with huge packages of candy, and the granola bar has been swapped out for 5 Hour Energy. Clearly they want us to be hopped up on chocolate and caffeine.

Surprise flower is surprising. I planted some mixed seeds last spring, but most of them didn’t come up. This did, though. I almost pulled it, assuming it was a weed. It finally bloomed a couple of days ago.

I hate this time of year, because it’s ragweed season, and my allergies are just awful. However, it’s also iron weed season, which makes me happy. There’s a garden in my neighborhood with black eyed susans and iron weed growing together, and it’s just beautiful.
