Frances in the Sun
I got Frances the StarMark Treat Ball a few months ago. She loves it, and it’s held up really well. And it’s soft jelly plastic, so it’s really quiet. I usually stuff it with a few puppy sized dog biscuits, but today, she’d already had as many of those as I thought she should. What to do? I sliced up some chunks of carrot, stuffed them in the treat ball, and gave it to her. It was a big hit!
Do I win some sort of prize? Or is this a sign of the End Times?
I just don’t even.
I’m not sure exactly what this is. Some kind of wild rose. I don’t think it’s multiflora, though. It volunteered last year and seems to be thriving.
The sedum is not dead, either. Yay!
Happy violets in the back field are happy. Doves are nesting in the for tree by my patio and cooing their little hearts out. Little brown birds are everywhere. My irises and surprise lilies are poking up from the ground, too. It’s Spring!

It’s still raining! But the grass that was brown yesterday? Today it’s green. And I can see happy, yellow daffodils across the street.
Actually, more like stormy. We’ve had intermittent thunder and lightning since last night, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop any time soon. It’s wet out there, yo. Wet and LOUD.
Sometimes I wish I knew what goes on in her little head.
Meet Polly’s new friend. She’s been frantically trying to get to it through the patio window. Silly goose.
