I dug up a little bunch of chive bulbs from my mom’s garden in 2006. They’ve lived in a pot on my patio and have been very happy, until last winter. They didn’t make it. This photo came up in my Facebook memories a couple of days ago, and it prompted me to buy some chive seeds. They arrived today. I can’t wait to plant them.

Make a Wish
This little guy is poking out from between my surprise lilies.
Snifty
Yes, that is a giant, invasive honeysuckle bush. It’s on a mission to take over planet Earth.
New Journal
I started the yellow journal in January and the dark pink one in March. I started the light pink one on top last night. They all have about 150 pages. The yellow one has thinner paper, so it’s skinnier.
I’ve also killed a few pens along the way. R.I.P.
It’s Shedding Season
Thomas is blowing coat, y’all. It’s hilarious, since he barely has any hair to speak of. But he has just enough Australian Cattle Dog in him that he has a tiny patch of undercoat right above the base of his tail. And that’s it. That’s the totality of his annual coat blow.
Why?

Why are people? Why, why, why?
Tiny Pinecones
I saw these itty bitty Pinecones while I was out with the dog. They’re adorable.
Important Grackle Meeting
I think we interrupted something.
Spine
Found on the floor at work, while I was walking in the stacks.
Oops
That did not go as planned. The ends were magenta, before I rinsed out the dye and the blue stained the pink and turned it purple.
