I took out the trash last night. I’d considered leaving it until this morning, then thought better of it. My reward was a spectacular sunset I would have otherwise missed.

Sleeping Henry
Henry is camera wise. Even with my phone, and even if it’s on vibrate, she has a sixth sense that she’s being watched and wakes up. If I’m lucky I get one shot.
Emergency Caramel Corn

Into the Oven
Finished
1C white sugar
1/4 C dark corn syrup
1/4 C molasses
Salt
Stick of butter
Melt and cook on medium heat until soft ball stage. Remove from heat.
Add 3/4 tsp of baking soda. Stir. Drizzle over popcorn and toss until coated. (I air popped 1/2 cup of corn.)
Spread on cookie sheet and bake for about an hour at 200F. When you take it out ot the oven, let it cool for a minute, then break it up and transfer to a large serving/storage bowl.
Franny wants someone to deposit the whole bowl in her belleh.
Goodwill Haul
I got a stack of books, some clothes, and an XL dog crate today. With the Friday coupon and my store discount card, the total was $21.51.
The crate was filthy. I spent an hour scrubbing it with Pine Sol. Well worth the effort, though, considering the same crate is $150 at PetCo.
Also “animal confinement device.” I’m going to be laughing about that for days.
Seen In the Wild
We had a staff meeting today, and when I walked in this was on the conference room white board. My favorite thing in the world is to put my entire 160GB iPod on shuffle. Bring on the random, BAY-bee.
