She’s home and she looks good. She must be feeling pretty good, too, because the first thing she did when she walked in the door was chase the cats. That’s my girl!

The Return of the Schwannoma
The house guest from hell has returned. It’s scheduled for eviction on Friday. I’m crossing my fingers and toes that the surgery goes well, because while she’s in pretty good health, she’s an OLD LADY dog, and old dogs just aren’t as sturdy as young ones. In the meantime, she’s being spoiled rotten. I’ve also scheduled some time off work next week, so that I can stay home with her.
Polly
I feel guilty because I take more photos of Henry, but it’s only because she’s lighter in color and easier to photograph.
I was annoyed when someone stole a couple of my large planters last spring, not so much because of the planters themselves, but because they took the one over Pandora’s grave, with the catnip plant in it. They dumped the dirt out on the ground, though, and apparently enough of the roots survived that the catnip has regrown. Or maybe it’s zombie catnip? It’s survived one frost already, so it seems like it’s pretty sturdy. Hopefully it’ll be back next year.

Evil Never Rests
But sometimes it takes a moment to hang out on top of the patio blinds, spying on unsuspecting doggies down below.
And, of course, not five minutes later, Fatty McFattypants (AKA Polly) decided that she could climb on top of the blinds, too. I had to get a chair and rescue her, because she got to the end and couldn’t turn around or jump to the floor. I’m hoping she learned her lesson, but I doubt it.
