Thomas had his annual exam today. He was a very good boy, even for his shots, and the vet said everything looks great. I can’t remember the last time a vet said that!
And then we came home and he passed out for a whole ten minutes.
I swear, Thomas is a bottomless pit of want. I don’t think he even cares what you’re eating. If you’re eating it, he wants it.
He has no sense of personal space.
Thomas was about a year old when I got him, so we’re celebrating his first adoption anniversary and his second burthday. He hated the hat, so I bribed him with sliced turkey. Talk about an awkward family photo! The first photo was taken at the shelter, while I was waiting impatiently for a staff person to take him from his kennel to the play yard for me.
I can’t believe it’s been a year! The first few weeks were a little bit rocky, while we were both learning about each other, but he has turned into a fabulous dog. He’s sweet, funny, and easy to live with. Best boy ever.

This week was long, but it’s over (for me), and I got to come home today and play with my ridiculous dog.
I love the baby dinosaur noises he makes when he plays rolly-polly.
Thomas got an early morning bath, after walking through a patch of poison ivy. Baths are not his favorite thing, but a little peanut butter makes them almost tolerable.
