I see all the best stuff when I’m outside with Thomas. Last night, it was a meteor. Today it was butterflies visiting my zinnias.

I think the wind just momentarily bent her wing over. I don’t think it was actually damaged.
Zinnia After the Rain
It stormed all night, with tons of lightning. One strike was almost on top of us, and it fried my modem, so I got a day off from research.
It rained some more (no lightning!) this evening, which was nice. It finally cooled down, and the zinnias look happy.
(No modem means no internet service, which means I’m going through classic Doctor Who withdrawal.)

The babies are finally starting to bloom. There are also more day lilies budding. Hopefully our neighborhood doe won’t clear cut them.

The deer ate my hostas, but they left the day lilies. For now, at least.

I Weeded a Thing
And then I planted some zinnia and butterfly mix seeds. Better late than never, right?
Also I found my little geode, buried under some virginia creeper. I have no idea how it got there. Last time I saw it, it was in a flower pot with my chives.
