I still have day lilies. They bloom late for me, probably because my garden is so shady.

I thought I’d killed all my coral bells, but they’re sturdier than they look.

There are dozens and dozens of fat buds on my day lilies. They should start blooming any day now.

It’s hard to imagine that this thing was a sad little twig in a nursery pot when I got it. I didn’t think it would survive transplanting, much less thrive. Now it seems to be plotting world domination.

This stuff spreads like wildfire. You can’t kill it. It thrives in deep shade, and it blooms from early spring until the first frost. Even beyond the first frost, some years.
