I found a bunch of photos from last summer on a memory card. This doe had a fawn that she would stash in my zinnias, while she was busy taking care of important deer business.

Begface
I wouldn’t let him sit in the couch while I was eating, so he sat on the ottoman and then leeeeeeaned across and propped his head on the couch, next to my leg. I can’t argue with his logic.
Judgeface
He’s been goofy as hell today. I looked up earlier to see him walking past me, holding his tail in his mouth. Totally casual, like it was a perfectly normal thing to do. And now he’s sitting on the couch with his judgeface on.
Abstract
I was playing around, trying to take photos through my toy microscope’s viewer, and got a bunch of lens flare. I thought it interesting, in an “Is that from outer space?” kind of way.
Sunrise Over Wright Quad
It was cold and windy this morning. There were a few clouds, but I got to see Orion when I walked the dog, so all is well.
Piglet and Polly
These two are not besties, so usually when they touch noses, it’s a prelude to someone getting their face slapped. In this case, Polly was getting ready to tell Piglet to get offa her lawn.

I got up to get coffee, and my good timing was rewarded with a pretty sky view.
Begface
Thomas has upped his begging game by insinuating his giant head between me and my spinach pizza. It didn’t do him any good, but he doesn’t seem to care.
Action Shot
My phone camera plus low light plus perpetual motion Thomas equals crappy photos. But the Prisma app can sometimes kinda sorta rescue them. I like the way this one turned out. He was chasing his evening snack in a StarMark treat ball.
(I don’t get kickbacks from the company. I just strongly recommend this treat ball. It survived daily use from Frances, stuffed with chunks of raw carrot. And now Thomas has decided it’s his favorite thing in the world. He brings it to me and puts it in my lap, when he thinks it might be snack time. I like his technique much better than Franny’s. She used to throw the ball at my head, when she wanted me to fill it with carrots. Unfortunately for me, her aim was excellent.)
