Harriet just realized that there is now a dog (a very cute Papillon) living upstairs, next door. This poor dog has barked and barked and barked at Harriet for weeks, trying to get her attention. Being deaf, Harriet has been oblivious. Until today. For some reason she looked up while the Papillon was out on her balcony. Papillon barked, Harriet barked back twice, and then both dogs commenced minding their own business. Apparently the little girl just wanted acknowledgement of her presence.
