I’m a penny hoarder. I just can’t bring myself to spend them. It annoys the crap out of the cafeteria cashier. Every morning I get a cup of water, which is 42¢, and I refuse to give him exact change. Sometimes he gets so irritated that he rolls his eyes and covers the two cents himself. I refuse to feel guilty for taking money out of his pocket, because it’s not like I’m asking for a hand-out. I want the three cents in change. So I guess sometimes we’re mutually vexed with each other.
