Bedside Table
The squirt bottle is for the cats, who are very bad and think that 2am is the perfect time to chase each other across my bed.
Reflections
One of my coworkers had a pair of headphones stolen from her cubicle and another coworker’s desk was rifled through. And then this pair of cheesy CHiPS sunglasses showed up. So far, they haven’t been claimed, and as far as I know there have been no Cartman sightings.
Drama in the Sky
Today we had possibly the heaviest rain I’ve ever seen. It was ridiculous. At one point I looked out the window and it looked like pea soup fog, the rain and wind were so bad. So bad in fact that my little point and shoot camera couldn’t find a focus point. I got a short video of it, but it’s blurry.
It’s Baking Day
The house smells like cheesy, oniony goodness.
I’m also watching the first season of Downton Abbey. It’s even better than I thought it would be. I was a huge fan of Upstairs, Downstairs, and it’s an nice complement to that.
Steamy Windows
I decided that today was the day for making a big pot of broth from all the odds and ends of veggies I’d saved in the freezer. Big pot of boiling water + dry winter air = steamy windows.
Treetops and Snowflakes
It’s snowing again, but not with conviction. It’s something slightly more than flurries, but definitely less than SNOW.
Yellow Onions
I made the mistake of leaving a cookie sheet on the bottom shelf of the oven while I baked something. I figured it wouldn’t hurt anything. Right? Except that I forgot that it had cornmeal on it from baking bread. Now my entire apartment reeks of burnt cornmeal. It did not set off the smoke detector though, so it could’ve been worse.
And now the kitchen exhaust fan is on, the back door is open, and my feet have turned into blocks of ice. Fun times!

There was a discussion on Facebook about whether or not Cuties and Clementines are the same thing. Whatever you call them, they are damnfinetasty.
