Polly and Henry got an awesome care package from their Auntie Cara in Canadia, with treats, toys, and choklit. I am eating the choklit, but the cats get the toys, assuming the dog doesn’t steal them.
I’m going to dole them out slowly, so it’ll be like the 12 Days of Hmas. On day one, the fishing pole.
My aquarium had a horrible algae bloom over the summer, which turned the water dark green. Not very nice! It’s pretty well cleared up now, and the fish seem happy. They’re fun to watch (when the water isn’t too cloudy), because they are pretty much joined at the fin. They’re almost always right next to each other, whether they’re cruising around the tank or digging in the rocks for leftovers. When I get up in the mornings, they’re usually resting under one of the plants, side by side and head to tail.
Pizza cutter, take two. I don’t know what kind of metal it’s made of, but I love the tarnish patterns etched into it by the acids in tomato sauce. Every time I take it out of the dishwasher, it looks different.

Harriet got a nail trim this morning (not that you can tell, as they are still too long). As a treat for being a very good girl, I gave her the nearly empty peanut butter jar. She’s been working on it for almost an hour.
